2 How to install and uninstall
The ImageTrimmer is a trimming or image cutter program. The ImageTrimmer just copy the portion of the original image selected by the quadrangular trimming box as following.

You can shrink the image due to adjust the particular field of the image will be allocated in the trimming box at filled up. It is suitable for the trimming operation that is not for automatic processing of the trimming, such as the trimming of the facial portrait image.
Generally, it is difficult if the size of the original image and size of the trimming box is larger than your display resolution, because you can not see the location of the trimminb box in the original image. The ImageTrimmer can trim even the size of the original image and size of the trimminb box is larger than your display resolution. This function is suitable for making a computer's wall paper from large sized image. For example, the author explains a brief procedure to trim the portion of the large sized image. At first, please see the following picture.

The size of the picture above is 800 pixels width and 530 pixcels height, but it is shrinked. The size of the original image is 2,928 pixcels width and 1,941 pixcels height. Let's try to trime 1,280 pixcels width and 1,024 pixels height from the original image.
You may see both original image and trimming box are displayed in small size. They are shrinked into 21 percent. You can locate the trimming box on the picture and trim the portion of the original image.
The size of the trimmed picture is 1,280 width and 1,024 height, but the picture above is shrinked into 800 pixels width and 600 pixcels height.
The ImageTrimmer is free software with source codes. The source codes are written by Borland's Delphi language and they are distributed under the GNU General Public License Version 2 (GNU GPL Version 2).
The works which compose the ImageTrimmer are classified into two. The works where Fumio Kawamata has the copyright and the works where other persons or groups have the copyright.
The works where Fumio Kawamata has the copyright are distributed under GNU GPL Version 2.
You can modify and re-distribute the works where Fumio Kawamata has the copyright, under GNU GPL Version 2.

The file name of the package is composed the string "imagetrimmer_
", version and the string ".zip
".
For example, the file name would be "imagetrimmer_1.6.0.1.zip
" when its version is 1.6.0.1.
Unzip the package file wherever you want using some unzip program. That all for the install of the ImageTrimmer.
Delete all files you unzipped and the setting file named ImageTrimmer.Ini
. The setting file is saved in the directory specified by environment variable "HOME". If the environment variable "HOME" does not exist, the setting file is saved in the same directory where ImageTrimmer.Exe exists. The ImageTrimmer does not touch the registory.
Load image by selecting [File|Load] menu item or by clicking [Load] button.
The quadrangular indicated on the image is a trimming box. The trimming box will be located top left on the image first. You can drug and move by your mouse. You can move the trimming box one pixcel by cursor keys. You can move it ten (10) pixcels when you press with shift key.
Locate the trimming box wherever you want and select [File|Save as] menu item or click [Save as] button. Then the file save dialog will be popped up.
Select [Edit|Set Trimming Size] menu item when you want to resize the trimming box.
You can resize the loaded image in serveral ways. Select the percentage by selecting [Image size] menu item or Image size pull down menu. You can shrink or enlarge by clicking the loupe buttons. You also can shrink or enlarge by pressing CTRL+E or CTRL+S keys.
The trimming box will move due to the center of the trimming box will be located at the mouse pointer position when you right click the mouse.
The trimming box will track the image automatically when you shrink or enlarge the image. However, you can disable it by uncheck the [Option|Auto tracking] menu item.
Check "Auto Resize" in the "Trimming box" section when the trimming size is larger than your display size.
